As far as can be ascertained, construction of our retirement village began in 1989/1990 when the rumble of construction equipment shattered the tranquillity of the Bushveld







The first residents were Ampie and Isabel Hattingh, who occupied Unit 20 on 1 April 1991. They are still living here.



The community centre - currently known as Die Nes - was officially opened on 1 December 1992.

One of the highlights of 1994 were the achievements of the Renaissance Revue Group which took part in the Waterberg Afrikaanse Kunsfees. They were awarded two gold certificates for achieving an A+. The adjudicators paid tribute to the group because they "evidently enjoyed singing" and also acclaimed them for their enthusiasm.

In 1996 we even had our own drummie squad!
