Reportback: Mangement Committee meeting, 29 May 2014

The matters mentioned below were raised at the monthly Management Committee meeting held on 29 May 2014.

Once again the Management Committee members were thanked for the selfless service rendered to promote our best interests.

According to the Management Agent, the financial position of our Village remains sound.

The Executive Committee: Factotum presented its first report to the Management Committee. Subsequently, the committee was instructed to compile a post-holder's profile, service contract and duty sheet and to report back to the Management Committee at the next meeting. Faerie Glen Renaissance Management Committee kindly furnished us with a copy of  their service contract and duty sheet for their factotum. These will be used as guides for drafting our own documents.

The installation of an irrigation system in the parks is still progressing well. The contractor who was appointed to install the water meters, has already completed seven residential units.

The Conservation Committee, under the guidance of Piet Combrink, has created a drought-resistant garden alongside the service bus shelter; between the west side of "Die Nes" and the street. It presents quite a pleasing sight.

An Executive Committee: Website has been appointed to explore the option of a website to complement our web log (blog) and facebook page. Whereas its main aim would be to market our Village purposefully, residents could also advertise their own property on the website at a nominal fee.
