Chairman of the Management Committee, Gerhard van Rooyen |
The
Chairman of our Management Committee, Gerhard van Rooyen, writes: In paragraph
16.3, our Rules of Conduct urges us not to damage trees and plants that
originate naturally in the Bushveld. The clear message is that our indigenous
trees and plants must be nurtured and cared for by all our residents,
irrespective of whether or not they become exasperated by the mess they cause
in winter when shedding their leaves and flowers.
I
believe that it is fitting for all of us to take the wisdom of Robert H.
Schuller to heart, “Never cut a tree down in the wintertime. Wait. Be patient.
The spring will come.”
