Shirley Moore

Shirley Moore (57) was born and bred in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. She recently moved to our village and lives in U61.

Shirley is a product of the Bulawayo Polytechnic where she studied applied art and design, eventually becoming a qualified textile designer. On completion of her studies, she joined a company named Cotton Printing in Bulawayo where she became the manager of the art studio in due course.

It is not surprising that Shirley is steeped in the world of fine art, particularly painting. She describes her technique as detailed and colourful, using oil as well as watercolours as her mediums. Although she mainly draws her inspiration from photographs, she often accepts commissions.
