Events in the development of our village (6)

Paging through the minutes of the Management Committee Meetings and General Meetings held in our village since its inception, is a most interesting exercise. One is struck by the dedication of residents when dealing with the ebb and flow of village life, always seeking to resolve problems in collaboration with those who have chosen to spend their declining years here.

However, one of the more unpleasant issues that reared its head, occurred on 11 August 1994.

During a Special General Meeting on that day, a disgruntled resident tabled a motion of no confidence in the Management Committee. The motion was narrowly defeated by 27 votes to 20. 11 voters abstained.
