Annual Report: Outgoing Chairman of the Management Committee

The outgoing Chairman of the Management Committee, Gerhard van Rooyen, presented his Annual Report to the Management Association on 29 November 2018. The Management Association comprises the owners of units in Warmbad Renaissance or their representatives.

The following is an abbreviated version of the Chairman’s report.

“In the first instance I would like to express my sincere appreciation to you as members of the Warmbad Renaissance Management Association. Without your goodwill, support and cooperation, the Management Committee would have found it difficult to fulfil its mandate. Even though troublesome situations occurred now and then, you have made looking after your interests a worthwhile experience.

Vanjaar het verskeie hoogtepunte opgelewer. Ek verwys na die optrede van die Manne wat Glo, asook die talle gesellighede wat deur die sosiale aksie gereël is. Ek word telkens verstom dat hulle kwaliteitgeleenthede kan aanbied teen relatief lae koste.

The security measures protecting our residents and their property against criminals are of the Management Committee’s main objectives. In June, therefore, the existing strands of barbed wire on top of the concrete poles of the security fence were replaced on the western, southern and eastern side of the village. For additional security, razor wire was placed on top of the western boundary fence and the fence adjacent to the caravan park. 

Vervolgens bring ek graag hulde aan die bestuurskomitee van 2018.  Nieteenstaande die feit dat die lede soms onderlinge verskille gehad het, kan ek u die verseker dat die komitee te alle tye in belang van ons oord opgetree het.  As u sien hoe hulle hul uitleef in hul onderskeie portefeuljes, dan gee ek met groot dankbaarheid erkenning aan elke komiteelid vir wat hulle die afgelope 11 maande sonder geldelike vergoeding vir Warmbad Renaissance beteken het.

I would also be amiss not to applaud the work done by our workers as well as many residents who voluntarily give of their time and effort for the sake of the orderly course of events in our village.

Ek het tydens die eerste bestuurskomiteevergadering van 2018 die komitee meegedeel dat vanjaar my laaste jaar as voorsitter sal wees. Ek wil elke inwoner verseker van my opregte dank en waardering vir u ondersteuning en samewerking wat ek die afgelope 3½ jaar ontvang het.

Laastens wil ek my vrou, Annatjie, bedank vir haar volgehoue ondersteuning, verdraagsaamheid en geduld van die afgelope jaar.
