It stands to reason
that the safety of our residents is one of the main priorities of the
Management Committee. It is therefore committed to provide the best possible
security measures that are also affordable.
Although our security
fence may not be the best looking in town, it is supplemented by razor wire,
motion-activated security lights on the western boundary and part of the
northern boundary, as well as ultra violet (UV) beams on the outer perimeter of
our village.

If the UV beams are
breached, an alarm goes off in the gate house as well as the offices of Galven
Security (the company that has been contracted to provide security in the
village) indicating the zone where the intrusion has occurred. If necessary,
armed security personnel are deployed immediately. In addition, a security
guard patrols the grounds at irregular intervals at night.
The Management Committee has recently approved the
installation of CCTV cameras at the main gate as an added security precaution.

The cameras monitor and record details of vehicles and
persons entering and leaving the village 24/7. The CCTV system cannot be
affected by load shedding as it has its own back-up battery system.
