In the August issue of our monthly newsletter, Kwêvoël, the Chairman of our Management Committee, WESSIE VAN DER
WESTHUIZEN, wrote: While we find ourselves in the middle of winter at present,
the warmth of our regard for each other renders the chilly weather more
tolerable.
Ongelukkig is ons
georganiseerde sosiale aktiwiteite tydelik opgeskort.
This year the COVID-19 pandemic caused much distress in our village. We
grieve with the families whose loved ones have passed on. We thank our Heavenly
Father for residents who recovered and pray for those who are still struggling
with the virus. Meanwhile I once again implore you to do all in your power not
to put your own or other people’s lives at risk. If you are unsure whether it
is advisable to receive guests, domestic workers, village employees and/or
contractors at home, kindly consult with the Management Committee. Each enquiry
will be dealt with on merit.
Ons is dankbaar dat
ons dorp en oord in Julie nie deur die wetteloosheid getref is soos ander dele van ons
land nie.
In closing, Jannie and Jennifer J Van Rensburg (U28) deserve our thanks
for sponsoring the caring-group cards until recently. We would also like to
express our appreciation to John Fourie from PNA who will sponsor the cards
from now on.
