Stay safe in style

The Management Committee has recently launched our village’s very own face mask. It was designed by Roedolph Botha (U126) and modelled here by Magda van der Westhuizen (U120).

The masks are obtainable from Jacky at a cost of R90 each (VAT incl.).

Stay safe in style!

Residents debate conversion to prepaid electrical meters

A Special General Meeting of the Warmbad Renaissance Management Association was held in the Nes on 15 April 2021 (see photo above and note the social distancing!) to consider the possible changeover from the current electricity supply system where electricity is billed and paid for on a post-usage basis, to a prepaid system where users would have to buy units in advance to have access to electricity.

In terms of the Sectional Title Schemes Management Act, the conversion required a majority of 75% of members of the Association (or their proxies) present at the meeting.

The meeting was informed that the total cost of the conversion would amount to approximately R323 000. Should the proposal be adopted, the cost would be funded from our reserve funds. It was further emphasised that the installation would be done by the municipality on an all or nothing basis.

After a brief discussion the meeting resolved that prepaid electricity meters should not be installed in our village.
