5. The adventures of some of our residents!

 Vossie and Des Vos (U111)

During March/ April 2023, we finally enjoyed our pre-covid paid booking to Etosha National Park.

We combined this with a tour through Botswana and Namibia. Etosha was the purpose and highlight of this holiday, but other places we found exciting along the way – need to be mentioned, too.

In Namibia – it was our overnight stop at Spitzkoppe Community Camp. Camping between bald granite peaks and caves, with other campers nowhere in sight, is complete peace and tranquillity. It was a unique experience under the African skies.

In Botswana – it was our stay at Elephant Sands. This is the place to be if you want to see elephants up close; elephants wander the camp 24/7 to reach the water hole in front of the lodge. To have these wild elephants walk within meters of our tent was a thrilling, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
